Word to the wise: cheaper don’t always mean better.
I wish this was an isolated incident, but it’s not — I see it all the time. People think that they can save a few bucks by hiring some guy, typically a friend of a friend, to work on their website for them. What ends up happening all too often is that the “friend” has no experience with the guy as a designer, they’re just referring their buddy to be nice… and the buddy ends up screwing everything up.
Bob isn’t alone, here, and I’m not trying to make an example of the poor guy… like I said, it happens to all kinds of people. But you don’t have to be one of them.
Make sure this ‘buddy’ that you’re about to pay your hard-earned money to can actually do the work (check out his previous experience). After all, you wouldn’t hire the cheaper heart surgeon just ’cause he’s cheap, right?

Hi. I'm Adam Kayce, and Bright Coconut is my brainchild.

I hear ya Adam! Poor Bob. Good thing he’s in the right hands now.
know exactly what u mean, unfortunately!
Sucks, don’t it? I’m just tired of hearing of lame designers out there who end up giving people the shaft.
I guess I shouldn’t complain too bad, though, since they make me look good.
